luke warm and irrelevant...

History shows how the organized church ends up becoming lethargic and stuck in its own tradition and so focused on its own significance and agendas that a new wave must come about to revive that which has become luke warm and irrelevant.

When the organized church becomes as dead men's bones - dry and without life - the Lord lifts up those of His remnant who seek to obey Him, those who desire to honor Him and bring new life to His body.

In today's corporate church where is the hunger for the Lord, where is the fire to share His Grace and Truth with the world, where is the salt and light that is the gospel of Christ, where is the fight against the principalities of the enemy, where is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, where are the gifts of the Spirit encouraged and recognized, where is the church going beyond its own four walls to preach the gospel and make disciples?

There appears to be way too much 'comfortable' Christianity which is not really true Christianity at all. We must learn to become comfortable in our uncomfortable-ness breaking free of the rut of what has become the church of casual, comfortable Christianity.

It's not about me, it's about You, Lord….

Much of what we do each day is about ourselves. The 'me' focus can become its own idol and lead us astray from the true path of life. If we are not allowing the Spirit to break through our stubborn and selfish thoughts and actions we are missing out, especially in terms of our ministry and witness to this world.

Abide in Him…for He is faithful….and He is able!

"I seem as if the first glimmers of the dawn of a glorious day has risen upon me…I seem to have supped only that which can fully satisfy. To let my loving Saviour work in me His will…abiding, not striving or struggling, looking off unto Him, trusting Him for present power…resting in the love of an almighty Saviour in the joy of a complete salvation. Not striving to have faith, or to increase my faith but looking at the faithful one seems all we need. A resting in the Loved One entirely, for time, for eternity. It does not appear to me as anything new, only formerly misunderstood."

John McCarthy; missionary with China Inland Missions, 1869

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.  Galatians 2:20

Relevant Today

To a world who believes so thoroughly in the power of "me, mine, I"…

When we believe that man's flawed wisdom is all that there is and all that we need
When we believe that the "experts" in government are the true sources of knowledge and wisdom…
When we no longer take responsibility for our sin but blame everyone and everything else…
When we won't even acknowledge that there is sin…
When we will not believe that true evil exists…
When arrogance has become a virtue and humility a weakness…
When truthfulness, honor and integrity are no longer highly esteemed…
When the ways of the world have become the standard replacing the ways of truth…
When truth has become relative based on the opinion of the moment…
When hope becomes based on winning the lottery…
When instant gratification is the main focus…
When innocent life becomes a disposable by-product marketed for profit…

How is the Lord God almighty relevant in and to today's society?

How do we as the church, the living body of Christ, minister to a society that sees no relevance in and has no desire to seek after the One True God?

Our society is living the life of the prodigal son - and believes that life is better without the Father.

We have taken our blessings, our inheritance and thrown it away on ourselves. How long will we have to spend in the pigs' pen eating the husks and barely surviving in the slop until our eyes our opened and our hearts changed?

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
…for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.

(Ephesians 5:1-2, 8-10)

Are we alive for the Lord or living for the world?

What are we passionate about, what excites us? Is it the heart of the Lord or the enticements of the world? What truly is our first love?
Are we worried or embarrassed for the world to see and hear our passion and excitement for the Lord? Are we neither hot nor cold but luke warm?
Don't be a doubting Thomas or a closet Christian, let your faith take hold and lift you up in His grace and truth and power…be passionate about your faith in the One who is passionate about you for His love never ends!

Do not love the world nor the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh and
the lust of the eyes and
the boastful pride of life,
is not from the Father, but is from the world.

1 John 2:15-16

Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening…

We do quite a bit of talking to God…
Asking Him, inquiring, even sometimes demanding...
BUT how often do we ask Him to speak to us...
How often do we say 'speak Lord for your servant is listening'…
Being still, yet actively and earnestly desiring to hear from the Lord and His still small voice…
To hear from His heart…

Can we calm our mind and control our tongue and allow Him to break through all that goes on about us and listen to what He has for us...do we long to hear from the heart of the Lord....the veil was torn so that we could sit at His feet and listen to Him...the wall of separation was removed by Christ's sacrifice...I believe that He does want to share His heart with us because He is a loving Father...come, sit at His feet and say to Him 'Lord speak for your servant is listening'...

The Light of Life…

Only in the true Light shall we find truth. The absence of Light is darkness. And in the darkness there is no truth. The enemy lives in the darkness and that is where he wants us to be - where he wants us to live our lives - in the lies of the darkness. Let the true Light overwhelm you and fill the absence of truth, which is the darkness, transforming you into His marvelous Light of Truth - the Light of Life….

The Light of Life....

Let There Be Light…

The amazingly bright and illuminating Light that is the Word of God - which is His Glory. The powerful Light that brings a cleansing to our souls. The brilliantly shining Light that overcomes the darkness. A Light so penetrating that we can no longer live with our justification of sin. The Light of Life that is able to pierce our hardened hearts. The tremendous comforting Light that bathes us in His never ending loving-kindness. The vibrant and active Light that infuses our lives with His grace and truth which brings about hope and joy and love. The glorious Light that has defeated death. A marvelous Light that is so indescribably overwhelming.

May we walk in His glorious Light…

And I saw this amazingly bright Light and it began to approach me, to come upon me. Initially I was concerned about what this powerful Light would do, what it meant - was it a Light of cleansing and chastisement and righteous judgment.  Yet, as I was bathed in this Light a peace came upon me, a feeling of comfort and protection surrounded me, a loving warmth that drew me and I realized my unworthiness to be exposed to this marvelous Light but the Light harkened unto me to come and be overcome by its glory.

thoughts for ponderment...

A hardened heart's moral compass lacks a true north heading and thus becomes ineffectual in defining what is good and what is evil…

A prophet of truth is not honored but ridiculed in a time of moral morass…

If truth sets us free then it must be that lies and falsehood enslave us in shackles of bondage…

When we begin to believe that truth is based upon the ever-shifting sands of enlightened human wisdom we have become prey to the trap that is lawlessness…

Life in America Today…

We want to blame everything but the root of the problem. At the root: A callous disregard for life…..which has its beginnings in our sin nature. Lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and the boastful pride of life create the tail winds that push human beings to the point where their hearts are so hardened that even life itself is disposable. Add to our natural inclination to sin the enemy's assistance in the process and it becomes a combustible mixture ready to explode. But let's just continue to blame the inanimate object instead of the animate initiator no matter what the instrument of choice might be.

Mark 7:21-23

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. "All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man."

How Long Shall You Profane My Name

A nation that continues to use My Name in vain no longer desires the protection of My Hand. A people who no longer seeks to honor My Name shall experience the result of their choice - a harvest of desolation.
And the Lord said I have strived with you long enough. You have insulted My Name, you have used My Name in vain, you have turned My Name into a curse word. How can I  continue to bless you and keep you under the shadow of My Wing?
My longsuffering and My patience you have put to a severe test and you have been found lacking. Turn, turn from your pride and your arrogance.

…for those who honor Me I will honor…  (1Samuel 2:30)

Living Hope…

It really is ALL about hope...a living hope.
For where there is no hope there is no life…no joy...no peace….

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy
has caused us to be born again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away,
reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith
for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

a nation birthed...

as we celebrate the birth of our nation might we pray earnestly for rebirth....
a spiritual rebirth that awakens our nation...

Let’s Continue the Turnaround!

Rather than giving up on America, join me and thousands of others, as we appeal to heaven for a third great awakening, which could result in millions of people saved, and a resurrection of the America we love. As we celebrate our birth as a nation, let’s recommit ourselves to seeing a rebirth of truth, integrity, and our godly heritage. Don’t give up on America!

“And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.” (Galatians 6:9; TLB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

As we get ready to celebrate our nation’s birthday tomorrow, let’s not forget among the celebration the great cost that was paid to birth this nation. And, let’s ask God for a rebirth of it in our day and age.
Boldly ask God that this nation would birth a third Great Awakening! We are seeing signs of revival. Press in for more outpouring—saved souls, transformed lives and eventual governmental change.
Recommit yourself to being a promoter of truth, integrity and godly heritage. It will take all of us to turn this ship around!
A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we come to You today and thank You for this great nation, the United States of America. We acknowledge that this nation was birthed from great bravery in the face of impossible odds in order that Your dream could come to pass. We want to see another wave of that dream—a third Great Awakening! We want to see souls saved and lives changed, hearts altered and a nation born again! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today’s decree:

We will not give up on America! We will pray and act and be participants in God’s dream for our nation!

A Divided Heart?

It's all about our heart...what is the condition of your heart?
A heart that seeks after God or a heart that seeks after the world....
Let us not be a member of the fence sitters united with one foot in the world and one foot out...
May we stand with both feet on the firm foundation which is the Word of God...

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword,
and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow,
and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
 Hebrews 4:12

Tent of testimony....

Tent of testimony
That is what we should be as we live in our earthly tents...a tent filled with the testimony of the One who saved us…lights shining in the darkness…filled with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit…with the appearance of the all consuming fire of the Holy One….a tabernacle of testimony unto the Lord…

Numbers 9:15-16 Now on the day that the tabernacle was erected the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony, and in the evening it was like the appearance of fire over the tabernacle, until morning. So it was continuously; the cloud would cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

The mind, heart and soul...

The mind, heart and soul of our young people is the battle ground of the enemy

The enemy has used his many schemes of pride and selfishness and the pressing urges for worldly desires to destroy the minds, hearts and souls of too many of our young people. The world constantly calls them to ignore, even rebuke the love God has for them, to believe there is no God, to believe only in what they can see, hold, touch and own - a world of instant gratification where today is the future. The enemy tells them that relationships are just vehicles to be used to gain more because self is always most important - because they are entitled. A world where true knowledge and wisdom have little value in daily affairs for the light of truth is shunned, replaced by the foibles of man's foolish and death-filled wisdom. And the enemy laughs as his slaves of the darkness increase…

Church arise…for we must fight this battle! We must call out the enemy and shine the Light of Truth on his antics in this age. The casualties have been many but the Lord reigns and He has called us to engage…to actively and aggressively shine His Light of Grace and Truth. Let us resolve to boldly approach the Throne of Grace and seek His face as we intercede for those who are lost in the darkness of this battle.

Col 1:13-14 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

What we all long for -

Faith in something bigger than ourselves

Hope for the future - today, tomorrow and for eternity

Love - unconditionally for someone and by someone

And we can find all three in our relationship with our Creator…the One who made us in His image…the One who loves us with an everlasting love…the One who has given us a hope and a future…the One who is the Author of our faith…the One who loved us first!

1 Corinthians 13:13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

1 John 4:19 We love, because He first loved us.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Dilemma

The desire for power and control is so strong in the heart of man and history shows how that desire combined with the wickedness of man's heart has wrought much evil and continues to do so even today. Understanding that just as Lucifer sought to usurp the power of God, so too man dwells in and lives with that deep seated desire in his heart and the end result is separation from the Creator and destructive results for mankind. Man's desire to have his own throne and rule his surroundings has not changed with the 'evolution' of the human mind. Sin nature and a wicked heart are the only sure things in this life no matter what the changing environment of man might be. In our pride we believe we are in an era of new enlightenment  where man has the ability to overcome his human weakness by his knowledge and advancement. Technology may have advanced, science may have advanced but man's heart has not changed.

So, how is this dilemma solved? How is man able to overcome his challenge, his desire to usurp? The only answer is a changed heart. And a changed heart can only happen when we, by faith, believe in the Heart Changer - Jesus Christ. Does this make this flesh perfect? No, but it sets us on the course of sanctification where as we grow closer to our Creator (instead of further apart) we, by the power of the Holy Spirit, put the desires of that evil heart to death and live a new life in Christ led by the Spirit.

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

A new root sprouting?

Looking back over the history of the man's 'established' church we find a repeating cycle of man subverting the true life of the church and attempting to make it a vehicle of power and control. Man attempting to infuse his own wisdom and control into the works of God believing in his own mind that the truth of God is not enough - that he has some special revelation.

And then at a certain point a new root sprouts forth seeking to bring the true life back to the body of Christ - discerning bond servants who have been overwhelmed by the Spirit of Truth and seek to restore the once delivered truth that is pure and undefiled. And this new root always feels persecution from the establishment church's leaders - for they so fear the loss of power and control. Yet this new root perseveres as the Lord has anointed and empowered them.

Has the Lord God Almighty started a new root in our country? Throughout the world? A new root that honors Him above all…a new root powerfully moved by the Holy Spirit in the heart and souls and minds of a people called out by Him…a new root filled with the Spirit of Grace and Truth that burns with a passion to see the Lord glorified above all things…a new root over flowing with Holy Spirit led zeal to uplift the body of Christ and witness unto the Lord Jesus…a new root that loves the sheep of His pasture and longs to find those that are lost…a new root that starts as a spark but grows into a blazing flame - the True Light that cannot be extinguished.

Lord Jesus, may it be so…

Where is America today

Are we a city set on a hill or have we become a stubborn and rebellious people who have spoken against God. Is America worthy to be blessed by God? Do we deserve His grace and mercy upon our land? Or are we a people who, after all of His mighty blessing on this country, have turned our back on Him and no longer believe in His wonderful works? Are our days to be brought to an end in futility?

Can we again be a people who seek after God's heart and desire to serve Him and glorify Him in our daily lives? A people who believe in and stand firm in His truth, that are faithful to His call and live out His grace in and through our lives by the power of His Holy Spirit. A people who understand the times and are ready and prepared to battle in the spiritual realm while bringing the light of truth to the darkness of this world even in the midst of persecution.

Ps 78:4 We will not conceal them from their children, But tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.

Ps 78:6-8, 10,11 That the generation to come might know, even  the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children, 7 That they should put their confidence in God And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments, 8 And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not prepare its heart And whose spirit was not faithful to God. 10 They did not keep the covenant of God And refused to walk in His law; 11 They forgot His deeds And His miracles that He had shown them.

Ps 78:17-19 Yet they still continued to sin against Him, To rebel against the Most High in the desert. 18 And in their heart they put God to the test By asking food according to their desire. 19 Then they spoke against God; They said, " Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?

Ps 78:21-22 Therefore the LORD heard and was full of wrath; And a fire was kindled against Jacob And anger also mounted against Israel, 22 Because they did not believe in God And did not trust in His salvation.

Ps 78:32-33 In spite of all this they still sinned And did not believe in His wonderful works. 33 So He brought their days to an end in futility And their years in sudden terror.

Despised and Forsaken of Men

Is He again today???
Is He despised and forsaken by men?
Do we esteem Him not in our world today?
Have we shunned the Living God who gave His life that we might be saved?
Are we rejecting the One True Light that overcomes the darkness?
Do we ignore and even ridicule the amazing grace of God?

He was despised and forsaken of men
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised,
and we did not esteem Him.

Isaiah 53:3

not filled with it....

Christians should live in the world, but not be filled with it.
A ship lives in the water; but if the water gets into the ship, she goes to the bottom.
So Christians may live in the world; but if the world gets into them, they sink.

Man's Church

The history of man's church  (religion) is replete with violence and power seeking and the hunger for control - these are the desires and wisdom of the heart of man. Darkness is allowed to reign while the light is hidden. The role of the scriptures is relegated to a limited source of quotations used to justify a position in order to manipulate the 'followers' for man's own religious agenda. Dogma and doctrine take precedence while purposefully overshadowing God's living truth. An organization of man where the power of the Spirit has no welcome.

The true church (the body of Christ), the city set on the hill, the light that shines in the darkness, is the glory of God. The Lord is lifted up and man seeks after His will - not his own. It is a present day living demonstration of the power of the Spirit moving in His people casting forth the truth and grace and power and glory of our Living God. It seeks after the mind of Christ in all things - not the new wisdom of modern man (which is foolishness to God). Church arise and yield to the power of the Spirit of the Living God and let your lampstands burn brightly for His glory lest they be extinguished from your presence.

1 Cor 2:1-5
And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

1 Cor 2:12-16
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.

Are we laboring in vain?

Unless the Lord builds the house we labor in vain. ...

As believers in Christ Jesus we must come together in "unity" based on His building the house - not our plans, our thoughts, our innovations; which are based upon man's wisdom. For man's wisdom is foolishness to God. He is the foundation on which we must stand not man's good intentions. It is only in and through His grace and truth, by the power of the Holy Spirit, that true spiritual unity can be achieved - we must earnestly and wholeheartedly seek after His way and His way alone.

Holy Spirit we seek Your powerful presence...not our weak and inadequate man-based efforts.
Lord we are so undeserving, how we lack strong, enduring and steadfast faith and trust in You.
Oh that we would not be complacent as the world of man calls evil good and good evil…
That Your Light of Grace and Truth would shine brightly through us...
May we stand firm in believing that You truly are who You say that You are...
Fill this land with the power and glory of Your Presence and bring Your unity to Your church…

His Word....

is the Word of Life life to you?
is it your daily manna from heaven?
May we stand firm on His Word of Truth in our lives...
And live out our faith, hope and love in this lost world...
by His grace and the powerful filling of the Holy Spirit.

Oh Lord, may we be fueled by Your Word,
may our passion for Your truth burn strong,
and the power of Your presence fill Your church,
piercing the darkness of our day with Your all consuming fire...

4/21/16
The Book
I heard the Lord say, “2016 is the Year of the Bible.” Then, He took me to 2 Kings 22 which was written about the time King Josiah was restoring and reforming Israel. In chapter 22, the Book of the Law is found when things are getting cleaned out. The secretary takes it to King Josiah and starts reading it to him. The king begins to weep when he hears what he recognizes as God’s Word. God is saying that we are going to rediscover the Book. We will honor it above man’s opinion, above what the media or the President says. We will fall in love with His Word again!
“Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king. When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes.” (2 Kings 22:10-11; NIV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
If you aren’t as passionate about the Bible as you used to be, repent and tell the Lord you are sorry. Ask Him to give you a hunger and a thirst for His Word once again.
Intercede for the Church that His desire for us to fall in love with His Word this year would come to pass.
Open up a Bible (even if it’s on your phone) and start reading it. You might even read it out loud. Pray it. Declare it! Read for 10 to 15 minutes or more and enjoy every minute of it!
A prayer you can pray:
Dear Lord, forgive me that I am not as passionate about your Word as I have been in the past. Give me a passion for the Bible, your Holy Book, the words of life! I pray for myself, but also for the church in general that we would honor Your Word, read it, study it, love it, decree it and let it draw us closer to You. As I open it up and read it now, please work a miracle in my heart so that I cannot stand to be away from it. Let it form my opinions, challenge me and teach me. Thank you, Father, for Your precious Word. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Today’s decree:
I will fall in love with God’s Word all over again!

For I Am faithful and true
Fear not
For I Am with you…
For greater Am I than he who is in the world
My loving-kindness is abundant

The Narrow Way….

We like to think that we live in a time where the broad way is the way that one should walk. That we can 'make peace' with everyone. That compromise is always a good thing. That truth is relative. That man is good and will usually choose to do what is right.
Yet, we have so many problems, so much distrust, so much animosity among people, so many doing what is right in their own eyes, lies, deceit, deception, so much darkness invading our land.
It is by following man's foolish wisdom that we travel the broad way and that road ultimately leads to darkness and destruction.
Jesus said the way is narrow that leads to life,
Jesus said My peace I bring you,
Jesus said if men hated Me they will hate you,
Jesus said that the religious leaders were like white washed tombs - for they led the people away from truth,
Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life,
Jesus said in this life you will have tribulation,
Jesus said go and sin no more,
Jesus said love one another as I have loved you…full of grace and truth,
It is the narrow way that leads to life…and that life is found only in and through Christ.

The Lamb of God…

Salvation has come, rejoice for the veil was rent, the price paid, the perfect sacrifice made, redemption by the blood of the Lamb, plans formed long ago fulfilled, an invitation to enter into His presence - restoration made complete, yes salvation has come…let us now enter boldly before the Throne of Grace by faith in the One who made the way….

O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;
For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.
And it will be said in that day,
"Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us.
This is the Lord for whom we have waited;
Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation."

Isaiah 25:1, 9

"Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)

And Jesus uttered a loud cry, and breathed His last. And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. (Mark 15:37-38)

Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. "He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.  (Matt 28:5-6)

The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation   (Ps 18:46)

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, "The LORD be magnified!"   (Ps 40:16)

washed their feet...

as we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ -

The Passover Meal
Jesus was hours away from His death and resurrection, planned from the foundation of the world. He wanted to share His deepest thoughts with His disciples. He wanted to tell them about the new covenant, institute communion, share His heart with them and His plan of salvation. And, what were the disciples fussing over? Position. So, He washed their feet.
“And they began to argue among themselves as to who would have the highest rank in the coming kingdom.” (Luke 22:24; TLB)
“So He rose from the table, took off his outer garment, and tied a towel around his waist…and began to wash the disciples’ feet.” (John 13:4 & 5b; GNT)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
We are entering the holiest season for Christians, culminating in the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus!
Do we want to be those that commune with Christ and hear about His plans and His ways or will we be like the disciples that night and worry about how successful we can be? Tell Him about the relationship you want to have with Him.
Think about how He serves us every day that we live. Commit to live a life of service to Him and to others.

Get your Bible out and read Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22 and John 13.

A prayer you can pray:
Dear Lord, I don’t want to miss any part of what You are saying and doing right now. I am convinced that we are living in exceptional days and there is much You want the Church to know. Please help me not to worry about my own fame, but to be one that makes You famous! Show me what You want me to do and empower me to serve You every day. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Today’s decree:
I desire to know Him and make Him known!

A Dwelling Place for the Mighty One

Have we found a place for the Lord?
A dwelling place for the Mighty One?
Who resides in your temple?
Who is honored and sits upon the Throne of your life?
Make room for the King of Glory,
Cast all others from the alter of your life,
Open your heart to the Anointed One
He is waiting…

"Surely I will not enter my house, Nor lie on my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, Until I find a place for the Lord , A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob."  Psalms 132:3-5

Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in! Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.   Psalms 24:8-10

Light of the world...

Matthew 5.14
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden…

Do we believe it? Do we live it?
Does the One True Light shine through us
The Light that is grace and truth
The glorious Light of the Lord God almighty whose loving-kindness endures forever
The powerful Light that overcomes the darkness
The Light that sets the captives free
The Light that brings redemption and restoration
The Light that is life abundant
The Light that has defeated the power of sin and death
The Light of the world…

Let the Light of Christ, that is in us, shine brightly to this hurting, lost and dying world - with no hesitation nor reservation for He is worthy.

the wise...

proverbs.13.20
He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.

A fool says there is no God
And rejects the Lord Jesus as Messiah…
Wise in his own eyes, he walks in darkness
And the Light of Truth is not in him...
But the wise will surely seek Him…
They diligently search for the truth
And Light of Truth is their reward…

For the beginning of wisdom is to know and fear the Lord.
