How
do you see the Lord? Is He really high and lifted up or is He just a part of
your religious tradition? Is He Lord of all of your life or the lord of last
resort? A Savior you can't live without or a hazard insurance policy in the event
of a disaster? The Lord who is high and lifted up or the special Christmas and
Easter visitor?
As
we begin the Advent season might we all ponder upon the words from this worship
song that we sing at Christmas time - Oh come let us adore Him, oh come let us
adore Him, oh come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
We
adore Him as the babe in the manger but do we also adore Him as the risen Lord
of life Who is high and lifted up - the Messiah who came to redeem us with His
ultimate sacrifice and is now seated at the right hand of God, the King of
Kings who is coming again…oh come let us adore Him.
And
we'll praise His Name forever…
