Know Me Better….

Is it our desire to understand and know the Lord - to know Him better? To be led by the Holy Spirit into an ever closer relationship with Him? For that is what He desires - that we daily walk and talk with Him! 

Or does our flesh and our pride and the trappings of this world take precedence - our wisdom, our strength, our riches? 

In what (who) do we boast? 

Jeremiah 9:23-24  Thus says the LORD, " Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;

but let him who boasts boast of this,

that he understands and knows Me,

that I am the LORD who exercises loving-kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.

Acts 5:20

A call to the body of Christ in America:

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.

You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?

Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Submit therefore to God.

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

May we have the eyes to see people as Jesus sees them and not as our natural eyes do…

IN this world we are to love our neighbor, yet we are not to be OF this world - do not be conformed but be transformed by the power of His grace and truth…

We are to be His light in this world of darkness, does the light of Jesus shine through you?

The Light of grace and truth? The Light of life?
